Report of CP Day celebration by Samvedna on

On the occasion of CP Day, a parents & media awareness program was organized in the main building of Samvedna Trust Rehab Center. Parents of children with cerebral palsy, media personnel and social persons participated on this occasion. Chief Guest was hon’ble cabinet minister U.P. Mr Subhash Pandey. He promised to discus issues related with difficulties faced by CP children and guidelines for their proper rehabilitation in cabinet meeting. He also assured his continuous support for the social cause of trust. Function was organized in the president ship of hon’ble MLA Mr Anugrah Narayan Singh. He also said that children with cerebral palsy are coming to trust from all corner of India for their treatment because of trust excellent results in this difficult problem. He said that I appreciate contribution of trust Samvedna in recognition of Allahabad worldwide for this noble cause. Dr J K Jain, secretary of Samvedna told about latest technique in management of cerebral palsy used in the trust and emphasized role of parents in overall management of children with cerebral palsy. Guest of honor on this occasion was Mr. Rattan Dixit, President UP Journalism association. He appealed to media personnel for spreading the massage of social awareness towards our special children, so that no children remain disabled in society. Mr Alok Singh Executive Officer of Samvedna highlighted the problem and present scenario of cerebral palsy in India. Vice President of trust Dr Dhanesh Agrahari welcomed guests and parents and Dr J K Jain gave vote of thanks to all participant. Dr Deep Chand Gupta conducted the ceremony very efficiently.

Report of CME cum Workshop on Rehabilitation of children with Cerebral Palsy at Physiocon 2011 at Kanpur on 24^th sept.2011--

DR J K Jain along with Dr Mansoor Alam took full day workshop on cerebral palsy rehabilitation. Dr J K Jain started workshop by introductive lecture on cerebral palsy, in which he mentioned detail description about scenario of cerebral palsy in India and their presentation. After that Dr Jain took lecture on assessment along with gait analysis in children with cerebral palsy .He also demonstrate assessment of children with cerebral palsy. After that, he told how to approach these children and in last he told about problem coming with aging and their management and intervention modality if needed. Post lunch session was taken by Dr Mansoor Alam, who took talk on therapeutic management in cerebral palsy. Second day Dr Jain also took lecture on latest advancement in Mx of Paediatric Orthopaedic Problem. Information shared in this workshop was highly appreciated by audience.
